Biomass toploader
An automatic biomass storage silo to supply your industrial boilers
The intelligent rake silo to supply wood-fired boiler rooms - A number of advantages
The rake silo, or toploader in English, for top loader, is a flat silo unloaded from the top of the pile. A rake slides across the surface of the pile and gently brings the fuel back to the conveyor located at the bottom of the silo. This system, which requires a little space, it must be admitted, has three major advantages: it requires light and therefore inexpensive civil engineering; it can accommodate several large trucks, up to six per bay; and its unloading system is simple, inexpensive, very accessible and therefore very easily and very quickly maintainable.
Entirely designed and manufactured in France, the silage system from the Nantes-based company AA-Biomasse is a fully automated solution which allows the desilation of forest chips, shredded wood A and B, solid recovered fuels as well as numerous fuels from agriculture or agri-food industries. It is installed in less than a week, once the civil engineering is ready, by a dedicated team of installers, who also carry out after-sales service and maintenance, both in the field and remotely with the handling of the 'automation by hotline.
The rake silo allows you to store a large volume with very few constraints. It is installed between two parallel walls generally 6 meters apart and joined by a concrete floor. Operating on silo lengths of 18 to 50 meters, the rake tirelessly brings the product back to the conveyor, equalizes and raises the pile to a height of approximately 4 meters, and frees up space for subsequent deliveries. This system guarantees optimal accessibility to moving floor trucks, without constraints, for rapid unloading times. It can store up to 600 m3 per bay, with a flow rate of 60 m3/h, always per bay.
