Context
Wood chips and offcuts come from cutting operations carried out by a chainsaw. These materials are generated during the production of finished products for the building industry.
Challenge
To meet the customer's requirements, AA Biomasse designed an electro-galvanised belt conveyor with a 63 mm pitch. The customer needed to transport wet wood chips and offcuts while limiting the installation height under its machine.
Solution
The conveyor belt for wood chips is installed at the exit of the chainsaw cutting machine. The conveyor is lowered to accommodate the infeed and is perpendicular to another conveyor. A joining plate has been installed between the two conveyors to facilitate chip transfer. An external protective cap is fixed to the chassis to protect components located outside.
Operation
Wood chips and offcuts are transported to an external skip, where they are processed and reused. This solution enables materials to be transported efficiently while meeting height and humidity constraints.
