Context
Sawdust comes from the dust and shavings produced during sawing, forming small particles of the sawn material. This 100% natural product is used as a source of biomass energy, particularly in the form of logs or charcoal.
Challenge
The customer was looking for a solution to transport sawdust, wood chips and shavings, while improving performance. AA Biomasse used its expertise to design a conveyor with patented scrapers, manufactured in France.
Solution
The sawdust conveyor is placed next to a machine, allowing the material to fall directly into a receiving hopper before being discharged into the conveyor. The conveyor is equipped with heavy-duty scrapers with a 63 mm pitch, ensuring that the sawdust is efficiently conveyed upwards. Side panels and a feed hopper complete the solution, channelling the material into the conveyor.
How it works
The material falls into a receiving hopper and is then transported by conveyor scrapers. The sawdust is then collected in a skip, where it will be used as a raw material to manufacture logs or pellets. This solution, developed by AA Biomasse, improves customer productivity and simplifies maintenance thanks to removable covers.
