Product description
This conveyor, specially designed by AL Industrie, is intended to supply a bioenergy plant producing clean electricity. It has been designed to convey wood chips to a Gasification Unit (UGZ). The conveyor collects the wood chips stored in a skip and transports them to the UGZ according to the needs of the unit. Fully automated, it ensures precise operation, with regulation of the quantity of wood to meet the requirements of the UGZ.
Technical specifications
Electrogalvanised belt with 63 mm pitch: Resistant to outdoor conditions, the belt is treated to prevent rust and wear.
Extension flange: Allows the length of the conveyor to be adjusted, offering the flexibility of adding a second skip for increased capacity.
Rear sprocket drive: Ensures reliable and robust operation.
Fully enclosed rotation-sensing drive: Ensures optimum performance and protection from the elements.
How it works
The Gasification Unit converts solid biomass into synthesis gas, or ‘syngas’, through a four-stage process: drying, pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction. This gas is then sent to the Energy Production Unit (UPE), where it is cooled, purified and transformed into electricity and heat. The electricity produced can be used to power a variety of facilities, including schools, retirement homes and town halls.
